Bikaner is better than Jaisalmer

1. Location
Bikaner is situated in the northeast region of India while Jaisalmer is situated in the southwest region of India. Both cities are quite close to each other and have similar weather conditions. 2. History
Bikaner is a much older city than Jaisalmer. The city was founded in 1488 and became a part of the Muhajir dynasty. In 1526, Bikaner came under the control of the Mughals. Over time, the city changed hands between various kingdoms until finally coming under British rule in 1818. After independence, Bikaner remained a princely state until 1963 when it joined the Republic of India.

On the other hand, Jaisalmer is a relatively newer city. Jaisalmer city was founded by Rawal Jaisal in the year 1156. He named his new settlement after himself, Jaisal or “victorious”. The city soon grew in size and importance. Jaisalmer came under the Mughal Empire in 1526 and remained a part of them until 1947. After independence, Jaisalmer became a part of Pakistan and then later India again.
